MSC.Software's MSC.Nastran Now Available on New IBM eServer, Giving Automotive Design Engineers Advanced Performance and Reduced Design Time and Costs

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 2001-- MSC.Software Corp. (NYSE: MNS), today announced MSC.Software's support for the IBM eServer pSeries 690, a next-generation binary-compatible system powered by IBM's POWER4 microprocessor.

This server will allow applications like MSC.Nastran to run significantly faster, giving design engineers the optimum speed and performance to reduce costs and development time by more than 50 percent.

It has an extensive range of configuration options, including the support of Linux, an important new computing environment that is increasingly being used within the automotive industry.
