Local students decorated the vehicle for a period of time exceeding eight hours. "We do not yet know if this is a world record-breaking feat, but the artists' work has certainly generated attention for Pom Pom Wow at Toy Fair," said Jennifer Strick, Maya Toys' director of marketing. "The artists were surprised to learn how quickly and simply they could apply thousands of pom-poms using the 'Stick, Pull, Wow' technology."
A film crew captured time-lapsed footage of the vehicle decoration process. The video is accessible at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHYWY08xK3s. High-resolution video is accessible via the company's Toy Fair 2016 press kit: http://tiny.cc/mayatoys.
The "Pom Pom Your World" event will extend through Tuesday, February 16. Toy Fair attendees are encouraged to access the event by entering from the Inner Roadway of the Javits Center, adjacent to 11th Avenue.
