Even though we found a way to filter a lot of the fake registration, there are too many fake account created yesterday. Next week we will going to change to more strict restriction, and add new one. I really don’t mind how “hard” you make registration, as long as my potential customers can register.
I just want to register.
Did you not realize that I have an account here, and have been a member for many years? What I mean is that I offer my DAZ Studio morphs for sale on ShareCG, and I have a number of real fans who are legitimately interested in purchasing them, but can’t register here.
I have been unable to get more than 2 sales because you don’t allow new registrations. This has been frustrating for me because ShareCG’s terms make it the best venue for distributing DAZ content for sale.
We are sorry, but we will need to find a process that will block robot from registration without asking for identification. We still in a process of finding a solution, since the robots are passing the Google ReCaptcha.
I am sorry for my frustrated reply. My financial concerns have all but overwhelmed me. Of course, the security of ShareCG comes first and I respect that.
Well, part of me is glad that I was able to register just in time before registrations got blocked (again) but the other part of me understands the struggle that you guys have in order to make this site and most of all this place much safer.
I am unable to register and my interest is to download content which is offered free of charge. My Suggestion is that content which is free should be able to be downloaded without the requirement of registration. Perhaps one way to solve the problem of spam accounts may be to allow registration but do not allow that account to upload anything until that member can be verified, possibly after several months as an active account.
There is an effort to address the issue of new members. We hope to solve it soon.
