The first bi-weekly cover challenge ended yesterday, June 17th, and the new one started today.  114 entries were received, and I was blown away by all the great high-quality work.  Thank you all for participating!!

If you didn’t win this first challenge you may re-enter new art or art that you entered into the challenge that just ended.  You’ll be allowed to do this for the current challenge and the next challenge that begins on Monday, July 16th, 2012.

Every two weeks, beginning Sunday, June 17^th, 2012, we’ll be updating our ‘facebook.com/sharecg‘ Cover image with a new image submitted by a ShareCG member. We’re currently displaying Avarita by Twingo  by Twingo.

The current bi-weekly challenge is open for entries between July 2 and July 15, 2012 and the winner will be announced on Tuesday July 17, 2012.   Enter early to get the most exposure for your art.  Good luck!

Winner of the July 1, 2012  facebook Cover Challenge

How to Enter
To have your artwork presented as the site’s official facebook cover for a two week period upload your creations to the Art section and check the current ‘facebook Cover Challenge.’ A winner will be selected every other Monday  based on your upload’s views, rating and the number of unique and positive comments it receives. In case of a tie the ShareCG Admin will choose the winner. The winner and all tied entries and or the top 5 will be featured on the homepage and the top 10 will be recognized in this blog

The earlier in each period your art is uploaded the better your chances of having your work be the official ShareCG Facebook Cover

Only 2 entries max per artist for each biweekly challenge!  If an artist enters more than 2 uploads, his or her entries will not be considered in this challenge.

Using an existing upload?

If you’ll be using an existing upload and it has already accumulated visible views and ratings we are going to run a database report that just accounts for the 2 week period of each challenge and use this data to determine the winner.

If you have uploaded images to a challenge and did not win you may re enter them in the following two challenges.

Winner Selection and Award Announcement

Each challenge ends on a Sunday and data is run and the winner is selected on Monday.   For example, the current challenge ends on Sunday, July 1st and the winner is selected on Monday, July 2nd.  Notifications and announcements will be made on Tuesday.
