Call for Artists for the 22nd Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture - LA

Artist applications can be submitted online at http://filamarts.org/fpac/artists/apply

July 1, 2013 - Mabuhay! We are looking for artists for the City of LA’s Annual Festival of Philipine Arts and Culture as we celebrate its 22nd Anniversary on September 7 & 8, 2013 at Point Fermin Park, San Pedro!  FPAC is the largest and longest-running community tradition in Southern California, presenting over 500 artists and cultural bearers from across the nation every year.

If you are interested in performing or exhibiting art at this year's festival, please apply online at http://filamarts.org/fpac/artists/apply and upload the required documents. Submissions are due by July 20, 2013.

We encourage professional, amateur, hobbyist, and traditional artists to apply. The festival is open to any form of art: Traditional Folk Arts, Dance, Martial Arts, Theatre, Music, Visual Arts, Media Arts, Literary Arts, Culinary Arts, and Arts Education.

A submission of your application is an opportunity to reach an audience of over 20,000 people during the FPAC weekend, and it is also an invitation to join the Pilipino Artist Network (PAN). The PAN aims to connect individual artists to an expanding artistic community and valuable resources in their respective disciplines.

In order to encompass and highlight the diversity of the Filipino experience, all artist submissions will be reviewed by a curatorial panel composed of community presenters and field experts.  Each year the festival receives more submissions than can be programmed.  Submissions will be curated based on artistic quality, potential audience draw and community representation.

Vendor opportunities are also available to artists such the Artisan Exhibitor booths and consignment spaces at the Pilipino Artists Network (PAN) Pavilion. For more information please contact:
