AutoVue Thin-Client - Architecture
Over slow connections, rendering is done using intelligent raster tiles, and most processing is done on the server so that only the on-screen region of the document is sent to the client when zooming and panning.
Over faster connections, interruptible vector metafiles are sent to the client. Display begins immediately, rendering the drawing as the streamed data arrives.
Display can be interrupted at any time to view another drawing.
