Retail Giant Features New Q430 Laptop and Upgraded Mobile PCs, Highlighting Style and Performance

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 18, 2010 — Samsung Electronics America Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, will launch its new line of multimedia and performance-focused mobile computing options at Best Buy stores and on BestBuy.com beginning June 20. The new Q430-11, R580-11 and N150-11 mobile PCs combine ultra-capable Intel® processors, stunning design, and Samsung’s exclusive performance apps, offering superior options for computing at home or on-the-go.

The Q430-11 laptop offers mobility, style and power designed to meet the needs of consumers who demand the highest levels of productivity while on the go and those who want an outstanding multimedia experience. Wrapped in real brushed aluminum, the new Q430-11 laptop combines the power of an Intel® CoreTM i5 processor, a roomy 500GB hard drive and the performance of discrete nVIDIA GeForce graphics in a sleek, ergonomic design.

Users will immediately appreciate the seamless clarity of the edge-to-edge of the Q430-11’s HD LED-backlit display, offering tack-sharp images and bold color reproduction with a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Its advanced NVIDIA 3D graphics processing power and dedicated 1GB DDR3 memory provide outstanding graphic performance for 3D computer gaming and High Definition (HD) movies.

Additionally, the Q430-11’s built-in Webcam and integrated microphone makes communicating and teleconferencing fast and easy for mobile users and the roomy island-style keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience. The Q430-11’s chargeable USB port is capable of powering your cell phone or MP3 player even when the laptop is powered off.

The Samsung Q430-11 laptop will be available for purchase at Best Buy beginning June 20 for $899.


Samsung has also upgraded the popular R80-series multimedia laptops and N150 netbook.

The Samsung R580-11 laptop and N150-11 netbook will be available for purchase at Best Buy beginning June 20 for $849 and $349 respectively. Additionally, Samsung’s popular R780 laptop will continue to be sold on BestBuy.com for $899.
