Shotgun Hires Rob Blau as Head of Pipeline Engineering

Los Angeles, CA (January 29, 2013) - Shotgun Software, a leading pipeline tools developer for the visual effects, games and animation industries, has hired Rob Blau as Head of Pipeline Engineering. Formerly a Pipeline Supervisor at Laika and Dreamworks, Blau brings a wealth of experience to Shotgun to launch its new pipeline team. In this new role, he'll work closely with clients to iterate various workflows and develop innovative new tools and pipelines that encapsulate and perpetuate best industry practices.

Prior to spending four years at Laika, Blau worked at DreamWorks Animation for seven years, where he worked his way up to pipeline engineering supervisor. He holds B.S. degrees in math and computer science and an M.S. in computer science, from MIT.
