Inside Gaming Awards' nominees may receive two different types of awards – the official 'Inside Gaming Awards' (17 categories) voted on by the staff, and 'Gamers' Choice Awards' (11 categories) voted on by the consumers. The categories include Game of the Year; Best Trailer; Best Multiplayer; Best Narrative; Best Art Direction; Best Animation; Best Sound Design; Best Game Cinematography; Best Original Score; Best Innovation in Game Design; Most Original Game; Best Downloadable Game; Best Indie game; Most Compelling Character; Best DLC; Best Control; and Best Weapon. Community voting for the 'Gamers' Choice Awards' kicks off on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, and will be tallied based on the number of views each nominee's video receives until December 9, 2010, while the 'Gamers' Choice' Game of the Year will be decided via Twitter votes.
